James Crawford

Jim Crawford grew up in Central, NY and returned back to the Syracuse/Utica area after graduating from Muskingum College in Ohio with a BS in Economics.  Jim has been in the loan business since 1982 and started his own company, JC Mortgage Corp., in 1987.  Jim understands the needs for homeownership in Upstate NY as he has been a member of the community for over 35 years.  He takes pride in the fact that his customers have returned to us again and again and that realtors have referred their loans to him as they know he will do the hard work necessary to get them to the closing table. Jim and his wife Stephanie have raised four daughters and reside in Manlius, NY.  He enjoys jogging, skiing, Syracuse University Sports, traveling and spending time at their summer camp.

Marjorie A. Flaherty
Paralegal and Settlement Manager

Ms. Flaherty has been with JC Abstract Corp since 2005.  She has more than twenty years experience working as a Paralegal in the local legal community.  Although she has a varied legal background, her emphasis has been real estate for several years.  She will help walk you through the closing process from beginning to end and is always available to answer your questions and help resolve your title matters.   We realize at JC Abstract what an important time in your life this is and will provide you with our expertise and responsiveness to make your closing transaction go smoothly.  With our combined offices of JC Abstract and JC Mortgage we are able to handle your transaction in our “one stop shop” in a personal and professional manner to make your dream become reality.

Julie Knapp
Loan Processor and Marketing Specialist

Julie Knapp has been with JC Mortgage since August, 2000.  She takes pride in getting to know you and your financing needs whether it be for building a new home, purchasing a home or refinancing your existing home.  She will help you to determine how much house you can afford and what your monthly payment will be.  If you need a pre-approval for your real estate search she will be sure to provide you and your realtor with the necessary approval for you to expedite your search.   Julie is a good listener and works closely with our customers to make sure they are comfortable with the financing process.

Amy Valletta
Senior Loan Processor

Amy Valletta has been with JC Mortgage since September, 2000.    She has extensive knowledge in mortgage data entry, state banking, licensing, processing and underwriting, mortgage origination and consulting.  Amy keeps up with all the current mortgage programs and speaks with lenders on a daily basis.
